Free help for Pasadena families
Start with a conversation, not a search
We are a local senior placement agency in Pasadena. Tell us what has happened and what your mother or father needs, and we will narrow the options down to the few worth your afternoon, come with you to see them, and stay until they are settled. There is no cost to your family.
Let's start with a warm hello
Share your name and best number, and a local advisor can follow up whenever you are ready.
No cost to families. Your information stays private.
How this goes
What happens when you call us
You are making this decision once. We make it every week, in these particular neighbourhoods, with these particular homes. Nothing below costs your family anything.
Tell us what changed
Most people call us in the middle of something. A fall on the stairs, a discharge planner giving you two days, a night that did not go well. Two minutes on the phone is enough for us to start.
We cut it to a short list
We know the six bed houses up around Washington Boulevard and Garfield Avenue, and the big communities down near Lake and Oak Knoll. We know which ones take a two person transfer and which keep staff awake overnight. You get four or five names, not forty.
You tour, we come with you
We meet you at the door and ask the things families forget to ask, then stay with it through move in day. If we think a home is wrong for your father, we tell you that instead.
The words all sound alike until you visit
What the labels actually mean
Assisted living, board and care and memory care are all the same California licence, an RCFE. Skilled nursing is a different licence and a different regulator. Independent living is not licensed at all. Families arrive believing these are four separate industries, and every tour makes more sense once you know they are not.
Licensed Care Homes
Every licensed home named, with bed counts and licence numbers, including the ones that pay us nothing.
Learn more→Assisted Living Placement
We shortlist the homes that can actually take the care level in question, then come on the tours.
Learn more→Assisted Living Facilities
What is really here, why every other count is bigger, and how to check a licence yourself.
Learn more→Senior Living Advisors
Someone who has been inside these buildings recently, whose job is mostly ruling things out.
Learn more→Memory Care Placement
A locked wing or a quiet house. Which one depends on whether she paces or she leaves.
Learn more→Board & Care Homes
Six residents, one caregiver, an ordinary Pasadena street. Who it suits, and who it does not.
Learn more→Independent Living
Housing, not care. Not licensed, not inspected, and not on our register. Here is why.
Learn more→Nursing Home Placement
A different licence and a different regulator. Where the line sits, and the rehabilitation cliff.
Learn more→Senior Care Referral
How we are paid, what that quietly pulls us toward, and the questions that expose a lead broker.
Learn more→Costs & Benefits
Two pricing models, the fees outside the headline figure, and what VA and Medi-Cal will not cover.

Local means we have been inside the building
Across the San Gabriel Valley the state lists 75 licensed homes in 9 cities, holding 4,409 beds between them. A register tells you those homes exist. It does not tell you which one runs a bath aide short on weekends, or which one has a lovely garden nobody is ever taken out into. That part takes visiting.
We are paid by a home when a family moves in, and never by the family. That is a real conflict and the honest way to handle it is to show you everything, so we publish the whole state register, including the homes that pay us nothing. You can read all 32 Pasadena licences yourself before you speak to anybody, including us.
- Which homes will take a resident who needs two people to transfer
- Which ones keep a caregiver awake overnight, and which do not
- Whether VA benefits or the Medi-Cal waiver are worth applying for here
- When the right answer is to keep your parent at home a while longer
You do not have to have it figured out before you call
A name and a number is enough to start. If you are standing in a corridor at Huntington Hospital right now and they need an answer today, say that, and we will move at that speed.
